Refugiadas was formed by four friends in September 2021 amid the epidemic chaos in São Paulo/Brazil. Influenced by punk rock bands, the band is made up of women, mostly mothers. Her lyrics address themes such as solo motherhood, parental abandonment, exclusion of women who become mothers from artistic activities and the annulment of their identity as a political being by patriarchal society, as well as themes linked to the neglect of governments, institutions that hold power. vulnerable people, indigenous peoples and refugees.
